Uthando neSthembu, a show that aired on Thursday evening for the first time on Mzansi Magic, is setting all socal media ablaze.
The show gears itself towards changing people’s perceptions of and shedding a bit of light about polygamy.
The reaction the show received was unexpected to say the least. People loved it and cannot wait for the next episode.
It follows the life of businessman Musa Mseleku and his four wives, MaCele the first wife, MaYeni, MaKhumalo and MaNgwabe as they navigate their way through their polygamous relationship, their family, staying true to tradition in a modern world and the friendship the wives have.
The 43-year-old Mseleku, allows the masses into his home in rural kwaMadlala, KwaZulu-Natal, where he lives with his four wives and 10 children.
“For my family and I it was about making a meaningful contribution to the lives of people who would like to follow the life we live. It was also to prevent the abuse that we have witnessed of the polygamous relationship unit. And also to discard any misconceptions that are out there,” when asked by Drum magazine, why he agreed to do the show.
What will leave you jaw dropping though is how all his wives live lavishly in separate luxury homes, each with high-end cars, an inhouse mechanic and drivers to take children wherever they need or want to be, even if it’s to go get ice cream.
Everyone wants these nice life problems now.
