Soni Razdan lost her cool and fired Alia Bhatt’s drunk bodyguard after Alia was stranded while returning home in wee-hours. Here’s the whole story…
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt found herself in a vulnerable situation while returning home at night.
Unfortunately, this probable threat was not from any outsider but from her own bodyguard.
According to media reports, Alia was at her boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra’s house in Bandra. The incident took place when she was returning home at 3 am in the night.
The report says, she called her bodyguard so that she could be escorted out. But, she didn’t receive any response from him.
After several calls from Alia, eventually, he picked up the phone and she was on her way back home, with the drunk bodyguard sitting next to her.
When Alia asked him the reason for such a long delay in responding to her calls, he wasn’t able give any satisfactory answer.
When he opened his mouth to offer an explanation, he slurred, and his breath smelled of liquor.
That was the time when Alia Bhatt actually realized that her bodyguard was drunk.
Alia didn’t confront him then, and was scared that he might cause her harm in his drunken state.
Alia waited till she reached home, and confonted the bodyguard about his drunk state and highly unacceptable behaviour.
She told her mother Soni Razdan about the whole incident. Next morning, Soni called the bodyguard and fired him.
Often, Alia Bhatt visits her beau Sidharth Malhotra’s house to spend some time with him.
Reportedly, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have been dating for a long time.
On several occasions, Alia Bhatt openly confessed that Sidharth is a part of her life.
No doubt, Alia has always been a romantic at heart.
At the tender age of 8, Alia not only fell in love, but was also planning for kids in her head.
Alia revealed during an interview, I dated a guy for two years at the age of 8 and was planning babies in my head, he was a little possessive and that was when I learned not to let anybody tell me what to do.
Sidharth also shares a good rapport with Alia. “She looks into my eyes and I look into hers and we get completely lost. She is someone who I am very close to. She is one of the most important person in my life right now. We have known each other for a long time. We share a great rapport and I totally second what she says. I am happy that she is getting lost in my eyes,” says Sidharth.
Alia and Sidharth made their debut along with Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar’s film ‘Student of the Year’ in 2012.
Alia was just 17-year-old when she acted in her first film ‘Student of the Year’.
Alia’s age was a cause of concern for Sidharth as she said during an interview, “During the shoot of ‘Student of the Year’, he treated me like a kid, and I didn’t like that.”
However, Sidharth retorted, “You were 17! Anything under-18 is illegal.” Alia shoots back, “So? I wasn’t asking you to marry me. I was asking you to be a regular friend.”
Alia and Sidharth got busy in their respective careers after the release of ‘Student of the Year’.
However, it was the screening of movie Hasee Toh Phasee which brought Alia and Sidharth close to each other.
Sidharth said, “I could feel a connection after she came for the ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ screening. She was very expressive after seeing the film, and I found that quite warm.”
Alia also confessed, “Sid and I, it’s not like we don’t hang out. We go to parties together, visit friends together and move around openly. But we are not trying to project an image here, or trying to talk about our personal lives in the open. That’s not what we are here for.”
After ‘Student of the Year’, Alia and Sidharth shared the screen in ‘Kapoor & Sons’.
The movie was released on March 18, 2016, which was critically acclaimed, mainly for its direction and performances.
At the 62nd Filmfare Awards, ‘Kapoor & Sons’ won five awards, including Best Supporting Actor (Rishi Kapoor), Best Story and Best Screenplay. It also was nominated for Best Film.
